NATIONAL REGISTRY OF MODEL A FORDS
By Ray Hinnant

The Model A Ford Foundation, Inc. (MAFFI) is in the process of building a museum at the Gilmore Car Museum Campus in Hickory Corners, Michigan. MAFFI mission statement is to preserve Model A Fords and related memorabilia through research, education, and museum displays. One of the programs that they are doing is to maintain a national registry of Model A Fords. This registry is to document the Model A Fords that are owned by individuals and others. There is a website that you can enter in your cars so that they can be included in the registry. The website is located here. The information that you enter is your name and address, email, the year of your car, the body style, color, engine number and former owner if known. There are some other information that will show on their website and some information that will be kept confidential. Please check out the website, enter your car and help with this project. You can click on the register report to see the entire database. You can also click on name, year model, and body style at the top and the database will be sorted. It doesn't take long to register your Model A so pull up the site and enter your data.

NEW LOGOlogo

We have a new logo and it is already appearing on shirts that many of our members have purchased. Wayne, Sherry, and Ginger met and came up with some ideas and Sherry sent a rough drawing to the membership for approval. After getting feedback, the final logo was approved.

We tip our hats to Sherry for doing all of the leg work to find a great price for our blue denim shirts. A rush order went out to get them in time to wear to Grandbury, but we can place another order as needed.

Our logo: An image of a Model A sedan appears on top of an image of the state of Texas, and a small star is placed where the Brazos Valley is located. The name of the club is above the image of the state.

LOOKING FOR REPAIR ARTICLES

There are so many talented mechanics in the Brazos Valley As and it is amazing to hear some of them talk about repairing their Model As. If any of our knowledgeable members have repair articles that you would like to share, there is a spot waiting for it on the Tool Box link of this website. You might even have a little tip about making something run smoother or better, like where to put that squirt of oil or dab of grease, and it might be just what another reader is looking for.
